At Akari, recovery is not limited to counseling rooms or structured programs. We believe that meaningful change also happens through everyday experiences, healthy routines, shared time, and genuine connection with others.
Recently, our clients, staff, and interns started the day together with an early morning walk before sunrise.
Walking together gave everyone an opportunity to step outside the usual routine, enjoy the fresh morning air, talk naturally, and simply spend time together in a relaxed environment.
After the walk, the group shared breakfast followed by a session with Benjie, one of Akari’s consultants, who brings many years of experience and insight in the field of recovery.
During the session, Benjie shared perspectives on topics such as anxiety, frustration, behavior, and the challenges that can arise throughout the recovery journey. The discussion gave both clients and team members an opportunity to reflect, exchange ideas, and learn from real-life experience.
At Akari, we believe recovery is built not only through professional support, but also through healthy daily habits, community, reflection, and opportunities to reconnect with ourselves and the people around us.
Sometimes, something as simple as walking together, sharing a meal, and having an open conversation can become an important part of the journey forward.
